MARKET MANAGER - Alberta - Remote

The regional sales manager will actively establish the strategic direction for wholesale distribution and contractor partners in an effort to gain market share.

This role will be guided and will report to the National Sales Manager.

Required to create annual strategic business plans, develop regional project tracking logs, and build strong relationships with engineers, contractors, owners, and distributors.

The role is to manage the business for long-term year-over-year growth.

Essential duties and responsibilities :

  • Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly sales plans for a clear strategy to execute in the markets of responsibility.
  • Pursue contractors, engineers, owners, and develop long-term relationships.
  • Attend industry meetings and events.
  • Must have the ability to present products to engineers, owners, and contractors via Powerpoint and / or through a detailed conversation.
  • Mechanically inclined and has an understanding of various plumbing systems to discuss applications and recommend products.

A willingness to learn and develop product knowledge and understand competitive products.

  • Understanding the market and market trends to report up to management.
  • Be able to create annual strategic business plans.
  • Develop regional project tracking logs.
  • Build strong relationships with engineers, end users, contractors, owners, and distributors.
  • Willingness to travel daily and some overnights to manage the assigned geography
  • Attends trade shows and other functions.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with others in the sales organization to ensure strong overall territory growth by identifying ways to capture additional revenue opportunities through strategic management of existing client base and identification of new client opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Weekend and evening work will at times be required.

Qualifications and requirements :

  • 3-5 years selling in this geographic area
  • Prior outside sales experience with prior business development responsibilities and consultative selling understanding.
