We are currently recruiting for a Director, Trico Construction Management Inc.

This is a Full-time, Permanent position.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the President, this role is responsible for implementing the strategic direction for Trico Construction Management and the day-to-day project management, construction, and financial goals of multiple projects.

This role is responsible for the planning and coordination of construction management, consultants, estimating, quality control, schedule, cost control, and safety, and retains accountability for the success of the entire construction lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In conjunction with the President, create the strategy for Trico Construction Management and develop and implement multi year plans to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Working closely with the Vice President of Finance, developing annual revenue and expense budgets, and reviewing financial results and projections on a regular basis to mitigate challenges, optimize opportunities, and manage expenses.
  • Provide leadership and expertise to direct teams with effective direction for the delivery of all project work.
  • Contribute to the general business development efforts of the organization by representing Trico Homes in accordance with our values.
  • Assume overall responsibility for the execution of pre-development and development activities for Trico Homes’ work plans.
  • Maintain client relationships and lead / mentor team in conflict resolution.
  • Develop positive relationships with consultants / contractors / vendors to ensure their scope of work conforms to development guidelines and evaluate their performance to ensure effective partnering relationships.
  • Act as the primary senior-level contact for all project-related activities.
  • Direct all project development activities, including managing all components of assigned projects (estimates, budgets, schedules, procurement, quality, and risk).
  • In collaboration with Project Managers, participate in close-out meetings to review outstanding items and deficiency lists.
  • Prepare and update all project documentation including work progress, changes in scope, issues, progress billings, etc.
  • Attract, retain, and develop staff for succession planning and manage the development of the team.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to all staff and manage all aspects of the planning, design, construction, and departments.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressively increasing responsibility in overseeing development and residential construction of projects.
  • Ability to achieve aggressive growth plans.
  • Strategic thinker, comfortable working at a detailed level with a high degree of accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to develop and cultivate business relationships with existing and prospective partners.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • A strong working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, scheduling, and processes as they relate to construction.
  • Master of all phases of project management.
  • Extensive experience in leading project teams at various levels within the organization or team.
