JobSummary
The CanadianFinancial Controller will work as a member of the FinancialLeadership Team providing strategic advice and subject matterexpertise.
His / her knowledge will be leveraged to assist inplanning and delivering Canadian Health Labs services and ensuringcompliance with various local provincial and federal financialstandards.
KeyResponsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing A / RA / P GL and Counsel Cost Accounting Inventory Accounting and RevenueRecognition.
- Coordinate and directthe budget preparation and financial forecasts and reportvariances.
- Prepare and publishtimely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatoryreporting.
- Research technicalaccounting issues for compliance.
- Support monthend and yearend closeprocess.
- Ensure quality controlover financial transactions and financialreporting.
- Manage and comply withlocal state and federal government reporting requirements and taxfilings.
- Develop and documentbusiness processes and accounting policies to maintain andstrengthen internal controls.
- Additional controller duties asnecessary.
Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a FinancialController
- 5 years of overallcombined accounting and finance experience
- Advanced degree in accounting
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles andprocedures
- Experience with creatingfinancial statements
- Experiencewith general ledger functions and the monthend / yearend closeprocess
- Excellent accountingsoftware user and administration skills
