Summary
Enerflex is looking for a Process Engineer in Training to develop into an engineering leader for major projects in a high energy manufacturing environment.
This role is responsible for the overall process performance of the plant and will be responsible for generating and authenticating plant PFD’s and H&MB.
In addition, this role will review and provide support to the projects team as required, including but not limited to the following areas :
- Gas sweetening
- Mole Sieve gas dehydration
- High vapour pressure NGL’s
- Condensate stabilization
- Hydrate mitigation
- Flare modeling
- NGL Fractionation
- Utility Design (Instrument air, Heat medium, Cooling water, Drain system)
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
This role will offer the right candidate variety in their daily work life, learning opportunities and the chance to add value to our current gas processing projects.
We require someone with strong communication skills, matched with sound problem solving and decision-making skills. Your ability to lead by influence, be organized, establish clear objectives and monitor key measures, will enable you to deliver the results you need to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities include working effectively within a multi-stakeholder environment and seek to be collaborative on all fronts.
- Review process flow and piping / instrument diagrams
- Review general arrangements and 3D model
- Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness on responsible projects
- Take part in HAZOP and SIL review meetings
- Implement project specifications
- Size PSV’s and control valves based on process information
- Size vessels and piping based on process information
- Complete final checks on P&ID’s Models and other project deliverables
This role is designed to provide rapid development in the following areas :
- Working knowledge of gas processing
- Plant layout and how it relates to equipment design
- Size pumps, heat exchangers, air coolers, and compressors
- Pressure vessel and piping design
- Size pressure relief valves, control valves and piping
Qualifications
- 0-3 Years of experience with an Engineering Degree (Chemical or Mechanical)
- Current engineer in training designation (E.I.T)
- Exposure with Aspen HYSYS or hands-on plant operations experience
