Contract Painter and General Labour

We have temporary seasonal positions available as a Painter / General Labourer in Calgary, AB.

The hourly pay starts at $22-$24 / hr+ (potential for increase based on experience), with opportunities for overtime. The job entails a 10-hour shift with weekday and weekend availability.

Responsibilities :

Cleaning, preparing, and resurfacing tennis courts, basketball courts, and pickleball courts

Working in a fast-paced team environment with a focus on quality and hard work

Operating pressure washers and forklifts (training provided)

Handling tasks such as mixing paint, carrying heavy loads, and installing sporting equipment

Advantages

Responsibilities

Your specific daily tasks will include :

Pressure washing

Mixing paint

Carrying 60lbs buckets and maneuvering 600lbs drums

Applying the surface product

Installing sporting equipment

Operation of material handling equipment

Qualifications

The right person will :

Be reliable and committed to the full season (June 2024 to October 2024)

Previous professional / industrial painting experience would be an asset

Previous construction general labour experience would be an asset

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed and comfortable with working outside

Must have a reliable vehicle

Willingness to work 10-hour shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.

Must have legal authorization to work in Canada by way of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or valid Canadian work permit.
