Our client is a flourishing Industrial Manufacturing company dedicated to serving the energy sector. With their exponential growth, we are seeking a highly capable Supply Chain Manager to join our team to help streamline operations.

Responsibilities

  • Generate purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and assess requisitions for goods.
  • Explore opportunities for new products and procure replacement parts.
  • Manage inventory levels to support operations and adjust re-order points as per business needs.
  • Coordinate the acquisition of materials, components, and equipment according to production schedules.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and implement appropriate measures.
  • Ensure vendors meet quality requirements and enforce standards.
  • Negotiate favorable pricing and oversee purchase transactions with vendors.
  • Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery.
  • Forecast future product requirements based on demand and market trends.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts and manage physical inventory programs.
  • Submit purchase orders to vendors accurately and promptly.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in strategic supply-chain activities such as supply planning, sourcing, contracts, and supplier performance management.
  • 5-10 years of purchasing / supply chain management experience, with preference given to candidates with strong technical experience or engineering background.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing company would be an asset.
  • Organized, self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as a team.
  • Excellent computer skills, able to use Microsoft Office and inventory software / systems (e.g., SAP, ERP).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to use solid judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Supply Chain related Diploma, Certificate or Degree.
