As a Weight Room Monitor, you will oversee the safety of weight room participants and basic maintenance of equipment and weight room program space. Primary duties include :
- Ensure safety of participants.
- Light cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment and program space.
- Maintain written records if required.
- Provide first aid to customers as needed.
- Ensure proper usage of weight room equipment by customers and assist customers with equipment as required.
- Provide weight room orientations to new customers.
Qualifications
- Non-Certified monitors must be a minimum of 16 years of age and have experience in weight training and equipment maintenance.
- Certified monitors must be a minimum of 18 years of age and must possess a related certification such as : Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification Association (AFLCA) certification in Exercise Theory and / or Resistance Training.
- Success in this position requires excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
