The Role

Do you have experience working with nonprofit CRM or donor management systems? Have you spent time developing websites and supporting online fundraising applications?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are a national, grassroots charitable organization, looking to appoint an experienced Associate Applications Support Specialist to our growing team.

You will play a critical role in the successful execution and management of new application projects and ongoing system support.

This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including vendors and internal teams, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business requirements.

This role is an 18-month contract.

Key Responsibilities :

New Projects and System Changes :

  • Assist in the collection and analysis of requirements for new applications projects.
  • Help create Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Requests for Proposals (RFP).
  • Assist in assessing vendors for a variety of technical initiatives, such as the development of new donation management systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors on project plan design.
  • Follow project plans to keep projects on time and on budget.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance Testing throughout the system development phase and before the system is launched.
  • Assist in the creation of training materials for new systems.
  • Help deliver training sessions.
  • Support the change management and user adoption phases during project closure and transition.
  • Support the evaluation of project success.

Ongoing Responsibilities for Centrally Supported Systems :

  • Assist in the development and operations of software applications
  • Assist in requirement gathering for system analytics and develop methodology to collect specific data related to system usage.
  • Provide manager-approved support for departments and Chapters.
  • Update and create training materials for end users.
  • Document business processes and implement improvements.

Ongoing Support :

  • Provide guidance to SOC and Chapters on system usage and changes.
  • Provide application support training to staff.
  • Update training materials when system development occurs.

The Person

  • Bilingualism is desirable.
  • 1-2 years of experience with nonprofit CRM / donor management systems, database, and / or data administration.
  • 1-2 years of experience with web development and online fundraising applications.
  • 1-2 years of experience with SharePoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comprehensive computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft 365 suite of products
  • Ability to explain technical issues and solutions clearly and understandably.
  • Ability to work in a flexible team environment with a focus on internal and external service.
  • The capacity to travel occasionally
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required, including emergency contact for network outages and critical technical maintenance issues.
  • Understanding of the issues facing people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
