Responsibilities
- Identifying prospects for commercial title insurance to enhance market presence and revenue
- Cultivating relationships with legal, lending, and real estate professionals through client meetings and outreach efforts
- Addressing inquiries and generating quotes for existing clients while ensuring their ongoing needs are met
- Analyzing regional markets to pinpoint opportunities for new coverage and services, including thorough business case development
- Collaborating with underwriting on local real estate law, risks, and procedural matters
- Contributing to the formulation and execution of commercial strategy to meet predetermined objectives
- Developing expertise in products and advocating for their value
- Delivering presentations elucidating the benefits of commercial title insurance
- Seeking involvement in industry organizations to enhance visibility and networking opportunities
- Conducting market analysis and providing constructive feedback
- Facilitating introductions and collaborations with other Business Development managers
- Creating written content and presenting on title insurance topics at industry gatherings
- Coordinating and attending events
- Participating in industry trade shows, conferences, and client engagements
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in either real estate law or business development within mortgage lending, insurance, or legal products
- Maintaining active membership with a law society, if applicable
- Possession of a valid and clean driver’s license, along with a required driver’s abstract
- Flexibility to travel, with an expected maximum of 5%
- Proficiency in remote work and field operations
