Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is critical in improving our existing supply chains, onboarding new suppliers, negotiating new supply deals under our white label agreements, and maintaining and nurturing relationships with our suppliers.
You will primarily be responsible for reaching agreements with domestic USA lumber manufacturers. Experience working and importing with Chinese suppliers is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Identify, onboard, and establish strong relationships with new suppliers.
- Negotiate new supply deals under our white label agreements to ensure competitive pricing and terms.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with current suppliers to ensure continued collaboration and success.
- Reach agreements with domestic USA manufacturers to expand our supply network.
- Assist in building out logistics networks with 3PLs and establishing key relationships to support our supply chain operations.
- Improve and optimize existing supply chains to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance and compliance with contract terms.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in supply chain management and business development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, supply chain management, or procurement.
- Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Experience with Chinese suppliers is a plus.
- Experience working with a direct-to-consumer online / ecommerce business is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management best practices.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with suppliers and manufacturers.
