The Change Delivery Lead directly supports and deputizes for the VP Change Delivery in the provision of all leadership accountabilities through the Transformation Management Office (TMO) into the Aviva Canada Change Portfolio Initiatives (Strategic, Small / Medium & Regulatory), which will directly impact the overall Aviva Canada Strategic Outcomes.
The Change Delivery Lead is a critical leadership position, where best practice Governance, Assurance, Risk and Execution Discipline activities will directly support the optimum path to the successful delivery of the Change Portfolio.
The role has responsibilities to the VP Change Delivery for ensuring that all strategic and tactical leadership activities are completed in line with exacting requirements of the Aviva Canada Change Portfolio.
The role will focus on training, coaching, mentoring, analysis, reporting, dependency and risk management responsibilities to lead and support the on-going governance, tracking and administration of all planning activities to ensure the Aviva Canada Change Portfolio can maintain continuity and a single source of the truth’ for all Initiatives (Small / Medium and Strategic) at every stage of the Change Investment Lifecycle

What you'll do :
Take an active leadership role in the design, development and implementation of the Governance and planning activity work with the VP Change Delivery to establish process, artefacts, and cadence activities in order to integrate the Aviva standard model within the overall TMO Governance Model
Build clear alignment to the commitments made to the Boards and Committees regarding outcomes, deliverables and objectives that support the Change Portfolio targets
Build new and improve existing clear and consistent e2e Governance processes with appropriate artefacts and cadence activities implemented through interaction and collaboration with each Op Sponsor, Project team and all other key partners.
This will include identifying and joining up on any slippage and potential impacts to outcomes and / or benefits
Articulate all levels of change artefacts clearly and consistently in terms of definitions and requirements in accordance with the Aviva Change Framework guidance
Ensure any changes and / or improvements to the governance process, artefacts or cadence activities are correctly reflected as an update to the Transformation Management Office Governance Model
Stress test and challenge the adaptability and do-ability of all plans on an on-going basis. This will be built into the cadence activities
Understand and take action through the efficient monitoring and reporting of all dependencies, risks and issues that have the potential to affect the execution delivery of the integrated plan.
This will include ensuring personal attendance and Chairperson responsibilities at the key Governance forums to enable early warning indicators to be highlighted.
Ensure all governance artefacts are always kept up to date in the required format(s) and any other planned or ad hoc requirements to support analysis and reporting
Set up and establish an on-going integrated planning session with all key partners at least every 90 days to review progress and plan the next phase
Provide ongoing assurance as to the robustness and do-ability of the plan
Build, develop and forge strong and mutually beneficial relationships with all key collaborators to optimise delivery, outcomes and ways of working
What you'll bring :
5years + demonstrable leadership and management experience within a fast-paced, dynamic transformation environment
Demonstrable risk, issue and dependency management experience, engaging with the Lines of Defence
Change Management and Change delivery experience at a Project, Programme and ideally at a Portfolio level
Experience of multi-Initiative delivery, building effective relationships with all partners and motivating to achieve win-win outcomes
Strong leadership abilities with the ability to drive and motivate a team of project and product experts to achieve the Aviva Canada strategic outcomes
Knowledge of working with Business and IT Partners, their platforms and their delivery methods
Excellent partner management and influencing in a complex transformation arena
Ability to foresee and articulate risks, issues and dependencies and put in place appropriate mitigations both to programme delivery and business outcome’ risks, recognising where partner concern is required
Ability to disseminate sometimes fragmented or contrary information and data to get to the root of the issue and use appropriate partner concerns or strategies to solve problems and / or clear blockers
Ability to challenge the norm, seek out opportunities to improve and drive effective delivery in a balanced risk management approach
Ability to manage both complexity and volume of demand
Understanding of the Canada business areas and marketplace
Resilient to challenge at the most senior level whilst building and maintaining relationships
