  • Prioritize and assign work based on business timelines and complexity
  • Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Escalate complex issues and capacity constraints as needed
Product Data Management & Item Setup
  • Oversee and perform creation and maintenance of product master data, including attributes, descriptions, hierarchies, UPCs, and pricing
  • Manage new item setup processes to ensure timely, accurate data aligned with merchant and system requirements
  • Establish and maintain product hierarchies (department, class, subclass, SKU)
  • Partner with merchants on attribute standardization, taxonomy, and product descriptions
  • Manage the full item lifecycle from creation through discontinuation
  • Coordinate closely with Supply Chain on case pack, ordering, and logistical attributes
Data Governance & Quality
  • Execute and continuously enhance data governance standards, policies, and procedures
  • Monitor, audit, and report on data quality metrics including accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Implement validation rules and controls to prevent errors across the data lifecycle
  • Track KPIs and drive corrective action to improve data quality outcomes
Vendor & Location Master Data
  • Oversee vendor master data including supplier details, payment terms, and onboarding processes
  • Maintain location data for stores, distribution centres, and cross dock facilities
  • Partner with Procurement, Finance, Planning, and Supply Chain on data requirements and changes
Systems & Integration
  • Serve as the operational owner of the MDM/PIM platform
  • Ensure data synchronization across ERP, POS, merchandising, e commerce, and warehouse systems
  • Partner with IT on system configuration, data mapping, integrations, and troubleshooting
  • Support data migrations related to system upgrades and implementations
Process Improvement & Documentation
  • Design, document, and maintain master data workflows and standard operating procedures
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce errors, and improve efficiency
  • Create and maintain training materials to support consistent data practices
  • Proactively recommend process, system, and policy improvements
Cross Functional Partnership
  • Build strong working relationships with Merchandising, Planning, Pricing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams
  • Support analytical, reporting, and operational data needs across the business
  • Educate partners on data governance standards and shared accountability for data quality
What You Bring

Required Experience
  • Deep expertise in master data management, data governance frameworks, and data quality methodologies
  • Strong understanding of retail product hierarchies, SKU attributes, vendor, and location data
  • Experience working with MDM/PIM platforms and retail ERP systems
  • Knowledge of database structures and data integration methodologies
  • Advanced Excel skills and SQL proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment
Preferred Experience
