At TJX Canada, every day brings new opportunities for growth, exploration, and achievement. You’ll be part of our vibrant team that embraces diversity, fosters collaboration, and prioritizes your development. Whether you’re working in our Distribution Centers, Corporate Offices, or Retail Stores—WINNERS, HomeSense, and Marshalls, you’ll find abundant opportunities to learn, thrive, and make an impact. Come join our TJX family—a Fortune 100 company and the world’s leading off-price retailer. Here at TJX Canada, we are an equal opportunity employer committed to the inclusion and accommodation of all individuals.

Job Description:

We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in shaping inventory and gross margin insights for a multi‑billion-dollar retail business. This role works closely with Finance leadership and senior stakeholders, building complex models, influencing strategic decisions, and owning high-impact forecasting and scenario planning. You’ll deepen your technical expertise by working across relational databases and large data sets, with a strong emphasis on querying and leveraging SQL to uncover actionable insights. In return, you’ll gain exposure to enterprise-level decision-making, meaningful cross-functional partnerships, and the chance to directly influence business performance.

Why Work With Us?

  • We value integrity, respect, and teamwork, encouraging a unique and inclusive culture.

  • Enjoy Associate discounts at our stores, available to you and eligible family members.

  • Immediate access to our Group Benefits package, including a Health Care Spending Account, Management Incentive Plan, Retirement Savings Program, Associate & Family Assistance Program, and various well-being resources

  • A competitive vacation package, paired with a Vacation Trade Program that allows you to opt in for an extra week.

  • Comprehensive training and development resources to help you learn, grow, and succeed.

  • Exciting career paths with growth opportunities and tuition reimbursement to support your career progression.

  • Discover innovative amenities at our eco-friendly corporate office, along with the flexibility and balance of our hybrid work model.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct moderate to complex financial analysis regarding Inventory and Gross Margin; interpret analysis and provide recommendations to business partners and management.

  • Create & maintain monthly, annual, and long-range plans and forecasts relating to Inventory and Gross Margin; monitor and provide analysis on FX (Foreign Exchange) impacts on Gross Margin and Inventory.

  • Partner with Merchandise Planning & Analysis (MP&A) to understand and quantify risks associated with the company’s Open-To-Buy position.

  • Perform ad hoc data analysis to create and produce reports that support business needs; partners with various project leads to provide financial analysis and quantify impacts.

  • Project-manage unique analysis, scenario plans, and complex business models, including coordinating the work of peers

About You:

  • A post-secondary education in a related field (, Finance/Accounting, Commerce/Economics, Mathematics); working towards a business-related designation ( CPA) is an asset.

  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience conducting complex financial analysis and building financial models; Inventory/Gross Margin analysis experience in a retail environment is an asset.

  • Strong working knowledge of SQL (including the ability to write and execute queries).

  • Knowledge of database design, statistical theory, data manipulation concepts, and proven analytical skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular MS Excel (analysis features).

  • Ability to work independently, accurately estimate the time required to complete projects, follow up on assignments, and keep appropriate team members informed of progress and/or risks.

Additional Information: Candidates aged 18 and over will be required to undergo a criminal record check as part of the hiring process.
