Job description

Our client, a Leading automotive part manufacturer located in Windsor, Ontario requires a Maintenance Manager.

Summary
This hands-on position is responsible for the supervision of skill trades and General Contractors in a multi-shift environment. Key focus will be maintaining and repairing all manufacturing equipment (including heavy ton stamping presses, robotics and standard to complex machinery) and facilities and building maintenance (including air compressors, chill water systems, overhead cranes, and lift trucks). The Maintenance Manager is also responsible for implementing and managing preventative/predictive maintenance programs and assisting plant operations with engineering solutions, commissioning, and product launches.

Job Requirements

  • Responsible for supervision of staff Automation / Robotic Technicians
  • Responsible for supervision of skilled trades – Maintenance and Electricians.
  • Responsible for supervising new equipment, process and building installations.
  • Responsible for scheduling of outside contractors, as required for plant projects.
  • Responsible for scheduling and recording all preventative and predictive maintenance for building, equipment and processes.
  • Responsible for plant cost buster budget setting and monitoring of R&M equipment and maintenance and reporting monthly.
  • Responsible for reporting weekly the status of the plant maintenance PM Scheduled.
  • Responsible for synchronous problem solving and implementation involving manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Smaller and new facilities may have shared responsibilities for other duties as required.


Job Requirements

  • Graduate of a community college in Mechanical Engineering Technology, with five (5) to seven (7) years related experience or ten (10) to fifteen (15) years’ experience with technical training
  • Millwright C of Q
  • Proven hands-on technical skills involvement.
  • Team player with strong organizational abilities and leadership skills.
