Plumbing Assistant- Contract

We are seeking temporary workers with at least one year of plumbing experience to assist with hot water tank swaps. This position requires full-time availability for approximately three weeks, with potential for overtime. The work involves :

Draining electric hot water tanks

Replacing old tanks with new ones

Refilling and testing the new tanks to ensure functionality

Repeating this process efficiently, with the goal of completing around 10 swaps per day

A dedicated team will handle the movement of the tanks, so the focus of this role is on the installation process. Proper supervision will be provided for safety purposes.

You will be swapping water tanks for an apartment building so all the work will be at the same location but entering different units throughout the day.

Advantages

• $25 / hr
• Daily worksite at the same location in Waterloo
• Straight day shift starting at 8am, can be 8-10 hours a day
• Monday to Friday
• Contract role full time for approximately 3 weeks

Responsibilities

Assist in draining and replacing electric hot water tanks

Ensure new tanks are properly installed and functional

Work efficiently to meet the daily goal of 10 tank swaps

Collaborate with a supervising plumber and follow their guidance as needed

Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications

At least one year of plumbing experience

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to pass a criminal background check

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
