Great Big Theatre Company is looking for Theatre Coaches for its March Break Theatre Arts Day Camps programs for 2025. There are positions available for the week of March 10-14. This is a salaried position ideal for those who enjoy working with children and young people (ages 6 to 14) , and are qualified to do so, and who also have some theatrical experience. Completion of, or enrollment in, a university-level drama program is an asset, but not a requirement. A valid police check is a requirement. CPR / First-aid accreditation is also an asset, as is having your own transportation.
The counsellors’ / theatre coaches’ role is to supervise all activities, ensure the care and safety of children attending, and so far as possible ensure that the camp is a positive experience for all. They will also be in charge of drama-oriented instruction and games and will help children prepare for an end-of-week performance. Hours are 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm Monday through Friday, with extended hours a possibility. Pay is $ 19.00 / hr or more, depending on qualifications and experience.
