Position : Experienced Mortgage Sales Team Lead

100% Commission based

Location : Markham, Ontario

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and nurture a self-sourced clientele.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of mortgage deals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of mortgage agents, ensuring high performance and adherence to best practices.
  • Oversee the submission and processing of mortgage applications.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance team performance and client satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Attract successful Mortgage Agents
  • Set the tone for the team and create a positive and productive work environment.
  • Provide direction and guidance to team members, ensuring everyone understands their responsibilities within the team structure.
  • Motivate and inspire team members, fostering a sense of collaboration and accountability.
  • Transform a group of individuals into a cohesive and high-performing team where each member feels valued and supported.
  • Identify and leverage team members’ strengths and suggest scope for improvement.
  • Adapt to changing situations and make strategic decisions to ensure the team’s success.
  • Set clear objectives, define roles and responsibilities, and ensure each team member aligns with the vision.
  • Communicate expectations, goals, and feedback to the group regularly and actively resolve any concerns or issues.
  • Identify and address conflicts early, facilitating discussions and finding satisfactory solutions for all parties involved.
  • Recognize and reward good performance, provide feedback, and encourage professional development.
  • Support team members’ professional development by providing opportunities for training and growth.
  • Ensure the team complies with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications :

  • Proven track record in the mortgage industry with a history of successful deals.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage brokerage or banking.
  • Active Level 1 or 2 Mortgage Agent license, or Mortgage Broker designation.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in mortgage software and tools. (velocity)
