An Aviva Senior Business Analyst is a key member of the project team, contributing to the planning and project execution from ideation, through to completion.

What you’ll do

Collaborate on planning, prioritization and design.

Understand the business problem the project is tasked with solving and ensure project team does not lose sight of it.

Work with project team on defining and leading project scope.

Develop business workflows by creating AS IS and TO BE processes.

Document business requirements and acceptance criteria

Create, monitor and constant review of sprint plans looking for opportunities to optimize where applicable.

Organize and lead working sessions and project update meetings within various levels of the organization.

Work closely with business and technical team members in support of project deliverables.

Identify project issues / roadblocks and steps for mitigation and resolution.

Provide feedback and recommendations on project and process improvements.

Act as a mentor to Junior resources.

What you’ll bring

University degree or equivalent IT experience

5-8 years Business Analyst experience

Minimum 5 years insurance experience, CIP certified or strong insurance knowledge.

Experience of working within a Scrum framework / agile practices

Experience working on Digital Implementations.

Scrum Master experience is an asset.

Customer / business focused, strong partner management and results oriented.

Consistent focus on business outcomes and benefits

Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills combining with thinking out of box to drive innovations and deliver changes / outcomes.

Excellent planning and organization skills

Superior communication skills, formal and informal

Process oriented when creating and maintaining project artifacts.

Time management skills with the ability to establish priorities and effective follow-up.

Must be a team-player, a team builder and a driver.

Self-starter with ability to work independently.

Experience of working on large scale assignments in complex environments and multiple partners involved.

Ability to communicate / present to a variety of individuals with and influence business partners whilst facilitating change.

Excellent leadership and presentation skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and engage partners.
