Job Title : Senior IT Project Manager (Hybrid)
Location : Toronto, Canada
Long term contract position
The role will be hybrid, every Monday on site and one Friday a month, the rest remote.
Purview is what is tough to find. If you have someone super heavy data projects with no purview that maybe could work too.
Job Description :
The client is looking for a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager with a strong background in data management and governance.
The ideal candidate will lead an ongoing project, focusing on establishing a robust foundation for data governance and quality management.
This role requires expertise in agile methodologies and a deep understanding of data quality principles. The successful candidate will come from an app-dev background and have experience working in banks, and running with their financials end to end as there is not a support team for this.
This will be a 12-month contract to start with possibility of extension pending performance. The role will be hybrid, every Monday onsite and one Friday a month, the rest remote.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Management : Oversee project, managing agile processes including backlogs, sprints, and the implementation of incremental improvements, while maintaining project management fundamentals
we are not looking from a Scrum Master)
Data Governance : Develop and implement data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with data quality standards.
Data Quality Management : Utilize Purview for data quality management, onboarding various teams and implementing data quality rules.
Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with multiple groups to facilitate onboarding and ensure alignment with data governance objectives.
Agile Methodologies : Lead agile practices, ensuring effective sprint planning and execution.
Must haves :
Project Management experience (IT / app dev background)
Major data experience : data quality, governance, meta data, etc.
Banking experience and ability to run with project and financials end to end
Education :
Bachelor's degree in information Technology or related field or equivalent experience required.
