What will you do?
- Perform calibration of internal gauges and coordinate external calibration of gauges and services
- Take appropriate action when out of calibration conditions are encountered
- Ensure environmental conditions are suitable for the calibrations, inspections, measurements and tests being carried out
- Create and maintain calibration instructions and records
- Champion the Quality Assurance Lab Manual including lab scope and compliance to applicable standards
- Lead shop floor troubleshooting activities related to gauging, calibration and measurement methods / techniques
What will you bring?
- Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent with related inspection and test equipment calibration experience
- Possess mechanical aptitude with strong understanding of mechanical and electronics as they relate to inspection and test equipment
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 Laboratory Quality Systems Requirements as well as applicable ASTM, ANSI and CSA standards
- Able to operate CMM and related gauge masters for day-to-day calibration activities
- Working knowledge of core quality tools including PPAP, SPC, FMEA and MSA
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings including a strong understanding of GD&T
- Must be willing to work overtime; required to work different shifts, non-routine hours and travel between plants
