The Financial Analyst - Telecom, holds the opportunity to play a key role in the financial support and development of the various Business units within Presidents Choice Services.

The Financial Analyst will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis. The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of both Telecom and Gift Cards business, providing comprehensive analysis, and reporting to drive strategic decision-making.

This role involves conducting variance analysis, developing financial models, and collaborating with cross functional teams to assess performance and identify opportunity for improvement.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of retail business, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive financial analysis and reporting support.
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers impacting financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for the business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, analyze trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision making.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for management review, including executive summaries and presentations.
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the financial health and operational efficiency of the business.
  • Support the annual budgeting process by providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Assist in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. CPA designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of Telecom and Gift Card business, financial statements, and key performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, a data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
