What You Will Do Network and Data Center Management : Oversee the day-to-day operations of our network and core data center services, focusing on power and cooling systems to ensure our infrastructure runs efficiently and reliably.
Maintenance and Upgrades : Conduct and oversee maintenance and hardware / network upgrades. This includes structured cabling installations at our data center locations in the US and The Netherlands, requiring occasional travel.
Collaboration and Scalability : Work closely with engineering teams and business leaders to ensure best practices in network management are followed.
Develop and implement a scalability strategy for our network architecture, accommodating the company's growth. Vendor Relations : Maintain and enhance relationships with network and co-location vendors.
Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen these partnerships. Automation : Lead the planning and implementation of network stack automation, including the provisioning of physical hardware, to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Support and Compliance : Provide support for day-to-day networking-related issues and ad-hoc changes. Assist in compliance activities, such as SOC2 audits, to ensure network operations adhere to industry standards and regulations.
Hardware Management : Assist with the planning and purchasing of new hardware, ensuring our network infrastructure meets current and future demands.
On-Call Duties : Participate in occasional on-call work to address critical network issues outside of normal business hours.
Security Oversight : Implement and maintain network security protocols to protect company data and infrastructure from external threats.
Documentation and Training : Document network designs, configurations, and procedures. Train and mentor junior network engineers and other staff to ensure a knowledgeable and capable team.
What You Will Need Experience : At least 10 years of experience in enterprise networking, with a focus on low latency, high throughput networks.
This includes hands-on experience with cabling fiber, installing switches, and setting up servers. Innovation and Passion : A demonstrable drive for innovation and a deep passion for technology.
BGP Expertise : Real-life experience implementing and working with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). Knowledge of Standards and Practices : Familiarity with SOC2 compliance, ITIL frameworks, and Agile development practices.
Kubernetes Proficiency : Real-life experience with production Kubernetes environments and Kubernetes networking. A Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification would be highly desirable.
Certifications : Must possess both CCNA and CCIE certifications. Education : A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Industry Experience : Experience working in the adtech industry is desirable. Soft Skills : Excellent communication and collaboration skills are vital, as is the ability to work effectively with teams across the organization and with external partners.
Travel Requirements : Must currently be able to travel to the United States and The Netherlands, either with current prior authorization, such as a visitor visa or be eligible for visa free entry into these countries.
