As we continue to prioritize the physical, mental, and social well-being of employees, we are seeking a dedicated Senior Advisor, Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness to join our team.

As the Senior Advisor, Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness, you will play a pivotal role in the continued momentum towards building a culture of safety at the Senate.

Your skills and expertise are critical to the development, implementation and delivery of corporate wide projects and initiatives that ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation, as well as a psychologically safe workplace and inclusive culture.

The programs and services you develop and implement are applicable to employees of the Senate Administration as well as senators and their staff.

Your initial priority will be to complete the development and lead the implementation of the Senate’s hazard prevention program.

On a day-to-day basis you are advising, promoting and coaching management and employees on relevant health and safety work standards, tools, practices, procedures, and regulations.

As the subject matter expert and trusted resource, you will also work closely with key stakeholders across the Senate to provide recommendations on the, priorities, trends and best practices related to occupational health, safety and wellness programs and services.

Your expert advice will inform and shape the decisions of all levels of leadership at the Senate. To be successful in this role you are a strategic thinker with great analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

You are a strong team-player and natural collaborator who influences change and is highly responsive to organizational needs.
