Mandate Description

The Senior Manager, TPS Learning & Development will be a key leader in TPS responsible for leading a North American team of learning professionals to establish and deliver structured learning programs - primarily targeted to Sales, Service, Implementation, Help Desk and Clients (other audiences as required).

The goal is to deliver impactful, prioritized learning programs to heighten capability (around understanding of TPS solutions) across these audiences to ensure an exceptional client experience.

The role requires a seasoned leader to be able to work with others across the TPS business to support our agenda to invest in new solutions to meet client needs, be the steward of existing TPS curriculum and deliver best in class client education.

This role is also expected to act as a portfolio manager for all learning activities, including management of work in flight, planning across short-term and long-term time horizons, management of a learning budget as well as vendor relationships, oversee maintenance schedule / activities, support segment priorities, etc.

Key Accountabilities

  • Evolve our learning framework Provide thought leadership around new methods of adult learning, and implement those that make senseEstablishing a framework and methodology that could be applied to all learning related needsStandardize the offering and establish a menu of options based on learning objectives and impact
  • Management & maintenance of existing learning assets Ensure all content is relevant, fresh and brand alignedUpdate existing materials based on product changes or enhancementsOversee the maintenance and updating of assets based on maturity dates
  • Support ongoing initiatives Support the TPS agenda to investment heavily in new solutions, through execution of comprehensive change plans to ensure relevant audiences are educated in a sustainable mannerEnsure client education is top priority and meets brand and style standards throughout the client journeyCollaborate effectively with other learning groups across the enterprise and share best practices (IFL, CBB WFE, NA Commercial Learning, etc.

Consider learning strategies by audience (Sales, Service, Implementation, Clients, etc.)

Scope, define and deliver on new requests Interface with leaders to intake learning needs and triage based on organizational prioritiesPlanning (resources, proactively identifying learning gaps, etc.

Managerial Leadership Portfolio management of all learning across key audiences (primarily sales, service, implementation)People management of learning design and delivery teamManagement of budgetManagement & oversight of vendor relationships

Requirements

  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong instructional learning background and deep expertise in developing and executing on learning recommendations
  • People Leadership experience, ideally leading learning teams
  • Strong organizational capabilities with demonstrated initiative and confidence
  • Thorough understanding of learning design, development and delivery
  • Strategic thinker with ability to influence and drive change leadership
  • Visioning and planning
  • Banking / FI experience would be an asset
  • Bilingual (English & French) would be an asset

Compensation and Benefits :

$84 000,00 - $156 000,00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
