Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Product Development Engineer at Laserglow Technologies. The Product Development Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to product design, mechanical engineering, research and development (R&D), and utilizing analytical skills to contribute to the development of cutting-edge photonics solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Safety and Technical Support.
- Provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on project management
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement the strategic technology plan to align with the company's business goals.
- Identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company's services, including identifying competitive services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles.
- Oversee the development of the company's products and services.
- Lead research and development (R&D) programs and projects.
- Develop and manage the annual technology and engineering budgets.
- Optimize expenses while ensuring high-quality delivery of services and products.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning
Qualifications
- Professional Engineering Designation is a must
- Product Development, Mechanical Engineering, and Product Design skills
- Experience in conducting research and development (R&D) activities
- Analytical Skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field
- Previous experience in photonics or laser technology is a plus
