We are seeking an Engineer, OT Cyber Security to lead our efforts in safeguarding critical control system networks. In this role you will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of our cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring robust security measures are in place, and maintaining compliance with Alberta Reliability Standards.

This role requires a proactive approach to deploying and managing security technologies, with a focus on continuous improvement and organizational resilience.

Responsibilities :

Plan, design, and maintain control systems security infrastructure

Lead risk and vulnerability management program for OT environment, including implementation of control frameworks for supply chain and cyber security protections

Lead cyber incident investigation and response processes

Work within change management program

Liaise with the Security and Application specialists on the development and enhancement of OT security systems in order to meet applicable industry requirements

Support EPC’s ability to meet its ARS obligations with respect to Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards

Create and maintain technical processes and procedures

Monitor cyber security threats and advise on implications to the organization

Stay current in the cyber and physical threat landscape in relation to the organization’s Control System network

Provide operational security insights and direction to other groups and business units to ensure that activities and changes don’t compromise the security of Control System

Coordinate with and oversee vendor and partner resources

Education Required : BSc. in Engineering

BSc. in Engineering

P.Eng status with The Association of Professionals in Engineering and Geoscientists in Alberta (APEGA)

Qualifications and Experience :

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience with securing and operation of OT infrastructure, preference given to those with experience with an electrical utility or power engineering consulting firm

Knowledge and understanding of Control System protocols (DNP3, Modbus, ICCP, etc.)

Good working knowledge and experience with cyber security standards and frameworks including ARS CIP, NIST CSF and Mitre ATT&CK

Strong TCP / IP networking skills

Experience with cyber incident response tools and digital forensics

Experience deploying and maintaining Public Key Infrastructure

Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory

Experience with network automation technologies

In depth experience with firewall, router, and switch configuration and management

Comprehensive understanding of OT security concepts, e.g. network monitoring, patching, vulnerability assessments, event management, and penetration testing

Demonstrated understanding of cyber threat landscape and how attacks are prepared, investigated, and orchestrated

Competencies :

Location : This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB).

You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
