About the work environment :

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home.

Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8 : 00am and 4 : 30pm with flexibility around start & end times.

About you :

Product Management is your superpower. You have significant experience as a Product Owner, driving execution, combined with experience in financial services.

You can understand concepts quickly and can apply those to tangible outcomes. You are an SME who loves getting their hands dirty when getting to the root of a problem.

You act as a conduit / facilitator for communication between your team and the outside world. You are adaptable, flexible, and responsive to change.

About the qualifications :

  • 8+ years' experience as a Product Manager, supporting a portfolio of commercial lending products, including term loans, lines of credit, and other specialized products
  • Significant experience leading others through change.
  • Comfort making decisions with limited data and defending approaches in front of senior executives.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial lending products and services, in particular multi-family residential lending, and construction loans.
  • Product Manager Certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Product Owner) an asset.
  • Proven strategic planning and product marketing and communications capabilities.

Ability to effectively manage interactions and coordination with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Expertise in defining roles, developing performance frameworks, managing budgets, and aligning operating models.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills and the ability to quickly shift priorities and adapt to changes to meet organizational and department requirements.
  • Works independently with a low level of supervision and has the ability to determine when to escalate broader impacting decisions to management.
  • A can do and hands on approach with a drive to get to the root of a problem and solve it quickly.

About the day-to-day :

  • Lead and manage teams of product management professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and employee engagement.
  • Oversee the ongoing management of commercial lending products, including product updates, enhancements, and discontinuations.
  • Ensure that commercial lending products are aligned with the organization’s risk appetite and credit policies, and that risk is effectively mitigated through underwriting, pricing, and other risk management strategies.
  • Ensure that commercial lending products and services comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Actively works directly with the product team to ensure a consistent approach to executing work assignments.
  • Ensures the team's lines of communication remain open and actively seeks feedback to continuously improve team dynamics.
  • Analyze, evaluate, plan, and execute both existing and new potential product activities.

Annual Compensation :

Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary and discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $140,000 and $150,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities & experience that the chosen candidate possess.
