Position Summary
We are looking for a Rehabilitation Assistant to work with our Allied Health Services Team .
Employment Status : Permanent Part Time
Hours of Work : Rotating weekend shifts (including statutory holidays). Additional weekday shifts available.
Location : Humber River Health, RCC Church
Labour Group : OPSEU 590
Reporting Relationship : Manager of Allied Health Services
Hourly Rate : $29.77 - $35.15
Responsibilities
- Assisting both Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist with patient treatment at the Reactivation Center (Church site)
- Cross coverage at the Wilson and RCC Finch site may be required.
- Providing assigned, delegated treatment regimes.
- Adherence to all delegated responsibilities.
- Preparing patients for treatment.
- Assisting the therapist in related duties.
- Maintaining timely charting and workload measurement.
- Monitoring and maintenance of equipment.
- Other duties as assigned, including general equipment monitoring and departmental duties such as light cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
- Clinical supervision of students, including OTA / PTA students in collaboration with the PT or OT.
