As a growing company, Fix Network is looking for a Senior Accountan t who can take a firm grip on the wheel and lead our projects in a constantly changing world.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the entire accounting cycle, including, but not limited to, bookkeeping, analyzing monthly financial statements and preparing financial reports.

Our Senior Accountant role has a salary range of $70K to $80K per year

This opportunity is located at our Burnaby, BC office

Job Duties

• Manage full-cycle accounting including, but not limited to, making journal entries and account reconciliations for multiple segments of the business
• Keep accurate and complete records of all financial and administrative activities
• Provide, revise and update internal reports so that they are more convenient and efficient, then provide external reports, as needed
• Prepare monthly billing to franchisees
• Support for internal billing verification and follow-up of procedures related to new franchisees
• Preparation and verification of accounts payable and corporate credit card reports
• Preparation, verification and accounting of payroll
• Preparing the monthly tax return for consumption
• Prepare monthly dashboards to provide simplified financial information to operations, facilitating decision-making and monitoring of results
• Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts, including analysis of intercompany accounts and coordinate with partners to resolve any differences
• Prepare and provide support for the preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Perform variance analysis on monthly financial statements against the budget; identify trends and issues
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process by preparing revenue and expense calculations
• Perform ad hoc analyses and reports development for senior management
• Maintain end-of-year documents and worksheets, and assist in the preparation of independent audits
• Prepare working papers and schedules for annual audits and year-end tax filings
• Assist in the maintenance of policies and procedures relating to complex financial and accounting matters
• Implement new processes to improve the Finance department
• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related discipline and / or equivalent combination of postsecondary education and relevant technical experience
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) *French language an asset
• CPA student an asset
• 3-5 years and over of experience in business accounting
• Experience working with different currencies
• Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central 365 - an asset
• Knowledge of Prophix an asset
• Experience in the field of franchising - an asset
• Strong knowledge of the complete accounting cycle
• Excellent computer skills and general understanding of computer accounting systems
• Practical knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Word, Outlook, PPT) with advanced skills in Excel
