What- the Role :
Our client is seeking a new Accountant to join their small and tight-knit corporate team. The responsibilities will include full-cycle accounting for 6 entities, as well as payroll and payroll remittances, AP, AR, tax remittances (GST & PST), financial reporting, banking (bank reconciliations, bank deposits), credit card reconciliations, property accounting, etc.
Who- the Candidate :
We are looking for an accountant with at least 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, including experience with AP and payroll. CPA designation is highly preferred. Ideally, candidates will have worked in a small, owner-managed company. Exposure to a business in an industrial sector such as trucking or transportation is an asset. Experience using QuickBooks is very advantageous, and proficiency in Excel is required. Candidates must be able to commute daily to Mitchell Island.
How Much :
The new Accountant will earn an hourly rate of $40 to $50 per hour, depending on their level of accounting skills, experience, and qualifications.
Where :
The office is located on Mitchell Island, a small island on the Fraser River between North-East Richmond and South-East Vancouver. Free employee parking is provided.
