Our client located in North Vancouver are looking to hire a permanent full time Accountant for their property and investment company. As the Accountant you will be responsible for the day to day accounting for these entities, preparing month end and year end financials, and filing annual corporate tax returns. Please note, this role is 100% in the office.

A day in the role:

• Full cycle accounting (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, journal entries as it applies)

• Preparing financial statements (trial balance, balance sheets and income statements) for 8 property investments

• Support income generating properties with calculating accruals, posting entries, and financial statements

• Prepare month end, quarter end, and year-end statements

• Work with external CPA firm with year end corporate tax filings and audits

• Handling queries for private foundation

• Implementing new accounting procedures and assist with the implementation of QuickBooks Desktop

• Administrative tasks (ordering supplies, assisting with mail, courier, etc.)

Job Requirements:

Your qualifications:

• 10 plus years of full cycle accounting experience, ideally have experience with investment and or property management

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce

• CPA designation will be considered an asset

• High attention to detail, able to deliver on deadlines, and comfortable in taking adhoc tasks

• Proficient with English both written and spoken
