What- the Role :

Swim Recruiting is seeking a Senior Accountant for this great organization. The company has a very stable team with low attrition, so it’s rare for them to be hiring.

The new Sr. Acct. will manage the full-cycle accounting for half a dozen entities and will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements , payments, routine and ad hoc investor reporting, working papers, treasury / banking / cashflow management, GST matters, etc.

Accuracy and integrity of the data is paramount and must be performed in a confidential manner. This is a small yet mighty organization, and the accounting team pulls together on administrative tasks, as well.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with strong finance, accounting, tax, general bookkeeping, and cash management skills to contribute to a well-run and diversified executive office.

Who- the Candidate :

We are seeking a Senior Accountant who has relevant work experience and skills, of course, but also has the personality to mesh well with the collaborative and humble team culture.

Friendly and effective communication skills are key, as is an approachable, down-to-earth style. Candidates will ideally have previous experience with a privately-held and multi-entity holding company (can be from client portfolio at public practice).

Strong technical accounting skills are crucial. Being a self-starter and the ability to work with minimal supervision is also key.

What- the Knowledge, Skills, & Experience

• CPA Accounting designation (or legacy CA or CGA) or International equivalent.
• Experience with multi-entity businesses (public practice clients and / or in-house), ideally with exposure to family-owned businesses.
• Experience with banking and cashflow management
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel ) is crucial and prior experience using QuickBooks is a significant asset.
• Excellent communication skills , both verbal and written.

This organization is headquartered in the heart of downtown Vancouver corporate office, just a short walk away from a SkyTrain station and plenty of amenities.

There will likely be some work-from-home flexibility should the employee require it- please discuss with SWIM.

How Much :

The company will provide their new Senior Accountant with a generous base salary, commensurate with accounting work experience, accounting education, accounting skills, and when CPA designation was achieved- the salary range will likely be $83,000 to $98,000.

The package also includes 4 weeks’ vacation, CPA support, health & dental benefits, and other employee perks.
