The Electrical Engineering Manager Power System Studies at Schneider Electric Canada is responsible for leading the EcoConsult team.

This team, comprising consultants and engineers, focuses on developing diverse power system studies and audits for clients across various industries and segments in Canada.

The manager's role encompasses overseeing EcoConsult deliverables, fostering collaboration with different business units, and spearheading business development initiatives.

This role reports to the Power Systems Services Operations Director and requires robust technical expertise, exemplary leadership skills, and the capacity to effectively manage both personnel and projects.

Key Responsibilities / Duties : Manage a team of Power Systems Engineers and Consultants, including engineers, specialists, interns, and EITs within the Schneider Electric Canada Services Business Unit.

Participate in business development activities for power system studies and audits, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to expand and cultivate new areas of focus.

This includes power system studies, power quality, advanced studies, Microgrids, electrical distribution and control audits, and digital SLDs, utilizing Schneider Electric products and tools.

Responsible for remotely managing a geographically diverse technical team spanning across Canada. Provide administrative management for department personnel, including developing training plans and conducting annual reviews for direct reports.

Ensure consolidation, sharing, and development of Power Systems Study know-how within the team, including methods and tools.

Participate in defining the vision, ambition, and strategy of the team and department. Provide leadership, coaching, technical direction, and quality control for the team and assigned projects.

Connect the Power System Engineering team in the Schneider internal ecosystem, including other similar teams in regions or globally, and all projects and services entities in the position area of action.

Take on the responsibility of managing the Power System Studies business, which includes overseeing sales and margin targets, providing sales support, managing tendering processes, and balancing the team's workload.

Work with Solutions Sales team to qualify customer needs and present potential power system analysis solutions. Qualifications & Skills Required : University degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent.

Professional Engineer certification (P.Eng) with a recognized association of professional engineers. 10+ years of professional experience in Electrical engineering and consulting, with a minimum of 3 years in a team manager / supervisor role.

Proven ability to effectively interface with all organizational levels and customers. Demonstrated success in leading and managing technical staff.

Strong experience in partner / customer relationships, including active listening, needs analysis, and influencing decision-makers.

Bilingual in English and French (an asset). Exhibiting advanced interpersonal and leadership skills, including technical acumen, efficiency, Requirement assessment and objective establishment, and individual / team performance evaluation.
