ADGA Group Consultants is currently recruiting multiple Life Cycle Material Management Technicians to join a long standing Defence Program that we have supported for 20+ years!
We are looking for candidates who have retired from the Canadian Forces! If you have a background working as a Technician in any field within the Military, please feel free to apply!
These positions involve providing "life cycle material management" to the following products :
- For the first role - it involves the sustainment of physical communication systems - such as voice and / or data communications.
- For the second role - it involves the sustainment of tactical sensors - such as geomatics systems, chemical, biological, radiologic and nuclear (CBRN) decision support tools, weapons locating systems, radars and electronic warfare systems.
Tasks will include :
- Conduct engineering studies and analysis to provide technical solutions to stated technical / logistic or operational requirements / problems including preparation of Engineering Changes. (ECs)
- Prepare and issue Material Change Notices (MCNs) whenever ECs affect end-items such as part numbers, drawing numbers, manufacturer’s code, quantities and applicability.
- Define standards and criteria relevant to equipment or systems maintenance.
- Prepare, modify or update specifications and drawings.
- Prepare, modify or update maintenance handbooks, parts lists, operating manuals and technical instructions and orders.
- Perform configuration management.
- Monitor and report on material under management including cataloguing activities, spares, replacement parts, obsolescence issues, upgrade options, and divestment activities.
- Perform analysis of maintenance, repair and overhaul data.
- Investigate Unsatisfactory Condition Reports (UCRs) and Technical Failure Reports (TFRs)
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid SECRET level clearance with Public Works / PSPC. We can duplicated a DND clearance if it's still active.
- We are looking for candidates that have worked as a Technician (any technical field) within the Canadian Forces.
- Experience in the preparation of technical documentation including requirements, specification, checklists, bulletins, reports, proposals, and equipment disposal plans.
- Ideal experience would include some of the following : developing briefing notes and presentations to address technical and logistics issues pertaining to equipment.
liaising with stakeholders to support the life cycle management of equipment.providing advice, guidance and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision making of senior management.
using a recognized Process framework or using an LCMM Handbook.working on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (e.
g. SAP) for equipment cataloguing.working on ERP for coordinating equipment distribution.working on ERP for maintaining and developing checklists.
evaluating and providing solutions to deficiencies in Technical Failure Reports (TFR) and Unsatisfactory Conditional Reports.
analyzing Statements of Operational Requirements (SOR)reviewing Technical Data Packages. (TDP)
Education Requirement :
- The ideal candidates will have a college diploma in Electronics, Computer Technology or a relevant technical field required to support LCSS (Land Command Support Systems / Military related) "OR"
- A demonstrated Qualification Level 6B (QL6B) in a relevant technical field (in Canadian Forces) required to support LCSS and a demonstrated min substantive rank of Warrant Officer in the Canadian Forces.
