MPB Technologies Inc. / Electronics Test Centre, a Canadian leader in EMI / EMC Qualification Testing since 1988, has an immediate opening for an EMI / EMC Support E3 Technologist in Ottawa.
This position requires an individual who is proactive, organized, has attention to detail, enjoys working with people and working with unique and varying customer equipment.
Essential Skills and Aptitudes :
Knowledge of EMI / EMC Qualification Compliance testing for Military, Aerospace, Commercial and Defence markets
o Familiarity with applying commonly used standards including : Mil-Std-461, RTCA DO-160, ISED, FCC & European for CE accreditation
o Proficiency in performing measurements using EMI / EMC test software for Radiated Emissions / Susceptibility & Conducted Emissions / Susceptibility.
o Knowledge of different testing methodology related to Military, Aerospace, Commercial and Defence
- Acquaintance / experience with various test equipment such as signal generators, E-field monitors, power meters, spectrum and network analyzers
- Strong communication skills are a must both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently (self-motivated)
- Strong work ethic and customer-service focused
Specific Requirements :
- Electronics Engineering Technologist Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or relevant work experience in an EMI / EMC test facility
- Experience or coursework in EMI / EMC design and test for Emissions & Susceptibility
- Proficiency in performing measurements for Radiated Emissions / Susceptibility & Conducted Emissions / Susceptibility, using EMI / EMC test software
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
