Role : District Sales Manager

Summary :
This customer-focused position is accountable for managing the sales channel of the Home Services organization and as part of a dynamic team reporting directly to the General Manager / Director.
The candidate manages a team of Sales Consultants both internal / agents and ensures that each achieves their individual targets as a minimum.
The candidate has the ultimate responsibility for the achievement of overall sales revenue targets of the territory for which he / she is responsible.
This requires effective manpower / workload matching on both a day to day and longer-term basis. He / she also has an input to setting appropriate targets for the territory so that local knowledge is used to set realistic and demanding targets.
The Sales Manager will be expected to develop and maintain critical beneficial links with other parts of the Company and external organizations in order to develop and exploit any potential sales opportunities to maximize sales growth.
Accountabilities :
- Primary focus is to drive positive, sales volumes and unit continuity; build solid teams; and drive customer satisfaction for the Sales business.
- Accountable for a group of EMC, RSC and Sales agents- with targets to contribute on average in excess of $20Mn in revenue.
- Requirement to foster positive working relationships with; MST call center, Sales Support; Field Operations, Install planning, Install Logistics / Reconciliation.
- Direct accountability for weekly sales field performance with a focus on key metrics i.e. closing ratios; average sale values;
gross margins; up sell rate (duct-cleaning; extended warranty; indoor air and water quality products, water treatment, Heat pumps).
- Accountable for overall customer care and satisfaction.
- Contribute to promotional; pricing; supplier and new product strategies.
- Ability to manage manpower / workload both on a day to day and longer-term basis
- Ability to set targets; forecasts and budgets.
- Responsible for the identification of recruitment needs, direction and motivation of a high performing sales team through effective training and coaching.
- Proven ability to build business through the generation of leads; referrals and working with Technicians to drive lead activity.
- Promote and ensure consistency of products and offerings with the Enercare brand values.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years sales and service industry leadership / management experience
- Undergraduate degree in business or engineering preferred
- MBA or related graduate degree or equivalent work experience an asset
- Ability to excel in a demanding; fast paced; ambiguous work environment while driving towards goals and targets.
- Strong leadership skills
- Proficiency using computers and systems
- Ability to give professional presentations.
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability to make quick decisions without detailed information
- Ability to handle escalated customer issues
- Travel within regions is required
