Financial Controller

Lyra Technology Group is looking for a full-time Financial Controller to join the Finance team at one of our operating companies in Vancouver.

This position combines accounting and administrative responsibilities to ensure the financial health and compliance of our operations.

Your work as the Financial Controller includes several components :

• Manage AP / AR processes.
• Handle subcontractor and supplier invoices, including setting up new vendors.
• Oversee and manage company payroll.
• Manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
• Analyze financial data and assist in making financial recommendations.
• Conduct routine data entry for accounting records, invoicing, and billing.
• Issue bills / invoices to customers and set up new customer accounts.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks.
• Complete bank reconciliations.
• Maintain financial documents using an appropriate filing system.
• Deposit cheques at the bank.
• Assist in audits as required.
• Coordinate effectively with team members, other departments, customers, subcontractors, and vendors
• Provide courteous customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Our ideal Financial Controller has the following qualifications :

• 4+ years' experience in a financial controller role.
• Proficient in bank reconciliations and bookkeeping tasks.
• Experience managing payroll.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Expertise in accounting software (QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics).
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is essential.
