Our client in the manufacturing industry sector is seeking a Controller for a 12+ month family leave contract engagement. Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for the following:

* Preparing financial statements and financial reports

* Managing financial transactions and analyzing financial data

* Leading the budgeting and forecasting process

* Leading a small Finance Team and providing mentorship/coaching

* Working on a new ERP system implementation project

* Evaluating and managing risks as well as monitoring internal controls

* Streamlining accounting functions and business processes

* Coordinating the annual audit process

Job Requirements:

To be considered for this contract engagement, you are a designated accountant (CPA or equivalent) with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience and manufacturing experience.

You also have the following skills and experience as follows:

* Financial statement preparation and financial reporting experience under ASPE reporting standards

* Budgeting & forecasting experience along with strong financial modeling skills

* Internal controls & risk analysis experience

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Good listener and mentor for Finance Team

* Strong leadership and people management skills

* Exceptional problem-solving skills

* Understands issues before passing judgment

* Advanced Excel skills
