Key Responsibilities of this Financial Controller :

• Leadership and Team Management :
• Lead a team of finance professionals, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Set clear team goals and priorities in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Provide mentorship, training, and performance reviews to finance team members to enhance skills and drive efficiency.
• Project Accounting :
• Oversee all aspects of financial management for projects, including planning, organizing, auditing, accounting for, and controlling project budgets.
• Develop and refine project accounting frameworks to ensure precise financial tracking and reporting, tailored specifically to project-based operations like IT services.
• Intercompany Accounting :
• Manage robust intercompany accounting practices to ensure accurate and consistent recording and reconciliation of transactions across multiple entities.
• Design and implement policies that govern intercompany transactions and cost allocations, promoting transparency and compliance.
• Strategic Reporting and Compliance :
• Direct the preparation and publication of all financial statements in coordination with the CEO and other senior leaders.
• Provide financial analysis and prepare monthly and annual financial statements for projects and operations.
• Ensure quality control over financial reporting and transactions.
• ERP Implementation :
• Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the ERP systems, ensuring streamlined financial processes and enhanced reporting capabilities.
• Regulatory Compliance :
• Ensure all financial operations adhere to federal and provincial regulations, including tax strategies and compliance with filing requirements.
• Monitor the company’s processes and policies for compliance, ensuring adherence to internal standards and external regulations.
• Hybrid Work Dynamics :
• Flexibility in determining office presence to optimize team productivity and personal efficiency, reflecting the company's remote work-friendly policies.
• Communication and Collaboration :
• Serve as the primary financial contact for the company, requiring exceptional communication and collaboration skills to effectively manage external and internal relationships.
• Drive strategic discussions and decision-making processes with clear, insightful financial reporting.

Preferred Job Requirements :

• A CPA designation is required.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller in project-based industries such as IT Services is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in intercompany accounting.
• Experience with SAP and implementing ERP systems is preferred
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing successful teams.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in standard financial software tools and systems.
