BEES is a proprietary app and platform that enables Labatt’s customers to place orders, manage invoices, build loyalty and so much more.

Now, with Marketplace our customers have access to more than beer and beyond beer products. Through partnerships with leading CPGs like Red Bull and Nestle, our customers are linked to a Marketplace of products that are delivered together with their beer order.

As the Partnerships Manager, you will manage Marketplace partners at national level to ensure all existing and new partnerships are in line with Labatt business objectives and strategy, creating a one stop shop for our customers, monetizing the ecosystem through innovative and disruptive collaborations, and delivering strong return to the business as well as value to the customer.

A role to represent Labatt in working with external partners, as well as central point of contact with all internal stakeholders pertaining to Marketplace partnerships.

Job responsibilities

Partner Strategy (35%)

  • Ensure all partnerships (existing & new) are in line with business objectives and Marketplace strategy / priority through on-going evaluation and assessment on SKU relevance and customer feedback
  • Proactively provide strategy review and competitive landscape study or upon request
  • Manage day to day relationship with partners
  • Facilitate top to top meetings and follow up with required action items
  • Review contracts with Legal department and relevant internal stakeholders
  • Track and facilitate payments are on-time and accurate
  • Monitor partner NPS score and create actions to improve our partner service and satisfaction

Regional Strategy Execution (25%)

  • Work with regional sales leadership and teams to establish the right contact and sales strategy to ensure our partner products are selling on target
  • Manage and coordinate with regional teams to load sales objectives, execute promotions, and LTOs on a monthly basis
  • Report on results in monthly PRs and build appropriate dashboards to track sales and volume
  • Develop KPI and scorecard for each partner / region, track results

Prospecting (25%)

  • Provide regular intelligence on key happenings and opportunities in the beverage world, distributors and competitive apps
  • Create hunt list of new / potential partners nationally and with a regional lens
  • Collaborate with global Marketplace colleagues to learn of successful partnerships, categories and strategies when it comes to finding new opportunities
  • Setting up pitch meetings and customizing materials for each prospective partner

Monetization (15%)

  • Selling services (salesforce tasks, digital communications ads, logistics, loyalty points and challenges, etc.) to our partners to help drive the rate of sale and awareness of their products on the platform
  • Prospect and create new partnership opportunities to increase offerings in our loyalty program catalogue
  • Collaborate with Monetization Manager to continuously improve services packages and execution based on partner feedback

Qualifications

  • University degree Business, Management or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in key account, distributor or partner management on agency or client side
  • Track record of successful new business prospecting and negotiations
  • Understanding of Canadian beverage landscape and distributor dynamics
  • Excellent communication, PowerPoint presentation storytelling and negotiation skills
  • Ability to think strategically, critically and connect partnerships with business objectives
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a wide range of projects in parallel
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, able to synthesize insights from data
  • Must bring a focused, detailed and disciplined approach to partner management; able to manage contracts, sales data, financial details accurately
  • Speaking French is definitely an asset
