What is the Opportunity?
As a Software Engineer, Cloud Security you will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions to enhance RBC's cloud security posture.
You will also contribute to the developer experience and foster a culture that encourages best security practices.
What will you do?
- Establish core services and security controls across Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud environments.
- Design and build cloud security solutions using automation, config as code, and TDD principles.
- Implement SRE practices to enhance operational processes and reliability.
- Collaborate with multiple engineering groups to align on technical strategies.
- Develop security coverage reports to identify gaps and enhance the cloud security strategy.
- Lead and participate in delivering end-to-end integrated solutions.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have :
- Familiarity with modern software development, DevOps, and SRE practices.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, TypeScript, or any other modern programming language.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience in building and optimizing CI / CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like ARM, CFN, and Terraform.
- Experience working with container tools and platforms.
Nice to have :
- Experience with observability tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, etc.
- Cloud or Security certifications
