Permanent Full Time Mississauga Site 37.5 Hours / Week Work Arrangement : 2 days on-site; 3 days remote Position Summary : ErinoakKids is currently seeking an experienced individual with a strong accounting background to fill the position of Accounting Clerk ABA Autism Services.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this individual will be responsible for : processing payments and reconciliation of payments related to the ABA Autism Services, purchasing support and fundraising accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities : ABA Autism Services : Setup client recurring instalment payments in Meditech and Orbital Virtual Terminal;

Apply payments made via Orbital Virtual Terminal and receipt payments; Validate payments against tracker report to ensure all instalment payments have been received.

  • Review tracker report to ensure it is complete and accurate; Follow up with families and program when instalment payments are not made per the agreed schedule;
  • Provide timely responses to clients regarding payment inquiries; investigate and resolve discrepancies; Liaise with the ABA Services and Decision Support Team;

Process approved ABA client refunds as required; Reconcile payment transactions daily, ensuring that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

  • Take appropriate actions to resolve any discrepancies; Ensure that internal controls are established and working effectively;
  • Purchasing Administration : Support Purchasing Officer with daily purchasing tasks; Issuing Purchase Orders based on approved purchase requisition;
  • Expedite outstanding orders; Respond to general inquiries from vendors and staff; Fundraising Accounting : Reconcile donations to the bank account on a monthly basis;
  • Record the required fundraising entries in Meditech; Prepare monthly internal reports and quarterly reports for the Board of Directors;

Respond to questions within the organization related to fundraising; Other duties as assigned : Provide general support to the finance department as required.

Qualifications : Degree / Diploma in Accounting & Finance or equivalent experience; Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role;

Previous experience in purchasing and fundraising accounting considered asset, but not required; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) to deal effectively with staff, clients, and others within the community.

  • Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a sensitive and confidential manner;
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office : Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint); Experience in the Healthcare sector and Meditech software is an asset;
