Job descriptionPrepare interim (quarterly / semi-annual) and annual financial statements (full set with note disclosures) in compliance with IFRS, US GAAP and Canadian ASPE for investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds and mutual funds. Review financial statements prepared by junior team members for accuracy, completeness and alignment with the requirements of the applicable accounting standard; provide constructive feedback. Liaise with internal parties, auditors and investment fund managers during financial statement preparation and audit; Share expertise and provide recommendations to clients with respect to financial reporting requirements. Lead, assist and participate in special projects. Participate fully as a leader and a member of the team and contribute to a positive work environment. Stay current on changes to accounting and regulatory requirements for investment funds and financial instruments. Provide training and oversight to junior team members. Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance 7 + years of hands-on experience in preparing, reviewing or auditing financial statements for investment funds 3+ years of supervisory / leadership experience Intermediate / advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Strong analytical skills with ability to work independently, under pressure, and with attention to detail to meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional accounting designation (preferred
