SUMMARY OF ROLE :
Our client is one of the leading insurance companies catering to both personal and commercial lines.They are growing their team and are looking for driven and passionate professionals to join them.
Shift : 9am-5pm (Tentatively), Monday-Friday
Location : On site for Training then Hybrid, Ottawa, ON
Role : Permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Researches, qualifies, and engages with prospects to drive sales.
- Responds to inquiries, gathers information, and resolves customer issues.
- Establishes contact and builds relationships to facilitate product sales.
- Manages incoming calls, follows up on expiration dates, and re-quotes previous years’ and canceled files.
- Contacts leads from marketing campaigns, online sources, and personal lead banks.
- Identifies customer needs to enhance sales within existing accounts.
- Develops contact plans and introduces new products and services.
- Quotes and markets personal insurance while maintaining communication with underwriters.
- Achieves or exceeds ex-date objectives to maximize sales potential.
- Provides support, information, and guidance to maintain and strengthen customer relationships.
- Researches and recommends new opportunities.
- Processes information and quotes, applies underwriting standards, and assesses risks.
- Monitors customer reactions to competitive products and reports to management.
- Evaluates current products and suggests enhancements.
- Processes client file changes and documents for follow-up.
- Drafts and prepares correspondence and documentation as needed.
- Maintains a current BMS database and follows up on client communications.
- Provides quality service while adhering to established standards and keeps information confidential.
- Maintains logs of quotes, sales, workdays, and other metrics for monthly reporting.
- Stays updated on underwriting guidelines and market changes.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- R.I.B.O. license required.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in commercial lines.
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong time management, project management, and organizational skills to manage competing priorities.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- French communication skills are considered an asset.
