About the team + role

Robinhood is growing within Toronto! This is especially the case with our infrastructure teams. We are looking for Software Developers to join an impressive team, build their skills deeply in backend development, and design systems that can truly handle significant data at scale!

We are hiring for a few teams -

• The Experimentation Platform team. We build an expansive experimentation platform that allows different teams to run experiments at scale to test out new and novel ways to democratize finance for all! The team owns the full stack of this product, work closely with data scientists and help create an intricate software that allows us to explore where we can continue to innovate within our world!
• The Storage Infrastructure Team is responsible for some of the most critical database and caching systems at Robinhood.

We own and build all things related to Robinhood's relational, non-relational databases, including our caching infrastructure.

We utilize and build with technologies such as PostgresSQL, AWS DyanmoDB, Memcached, Redis and Kubernetes among others.

• The Privacy Data Infrastructure Team design architectures, tools, and features that make Robinhood’s data collection transparent, and give users control over their data throughout the data lifecycle!
• We are opening more roles within the infra teams and if you are interested in the space, we would love to connect!

What you’ll do

• Build and own core features of some of Robinhood's most heavily trafficked services!
• Craft large scale systems within a team, making the right tradeoffs for risk and long-term maintainability
• Work with multi-functional teams to understand their needs and build systems that help us reach company wide goals to improve bottom line metrics such as revenue, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
• Be a champion for engineering excellence, improve operational efficiency of the team and drive these initiatives across the organization

What you bring

• Demonstrated experience you are a proven developer with experience planning and building large projects with long-term impact on a single system or team.
• Exposure working with infrastructure or full stack products within a heavily scaled organization
• Experience working with heavily utilized infra tools such as Bazel, Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, Airflow, and Presto among others.
