We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join the team in Montreal, The Payroll Manager will oversee all aspects of biweekly payroll processing ensuring accuracy with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and experience across Payroll, Benefits, and HR.Key Responsibilities : Biweekly payroll processing for Canadian employeesManage full-cycle payroll responsibilities for the companySubmit annual reports, T4s and T4As to CRATake ownership over the end-to-end process from vacation tracking to PTOManage benefits enrolment and support implementation of company benefits programImplement new HRIS systemSupport new employee onboarding and assistant leadership with drafting of contractsWork with managers on ad hoc HR projectsOversee and manage the payroll processing for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Assist with Benefits and HR practicesEnsure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations related to payroll and benefits.
Maintain and update payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.Supervise payroll staff and coordinate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Prepare and review payroll reports for management and auditing purposes.Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies.
Implement and maintain payroll systems and software updates.Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for payroll transactions.
Manage year-end processes including T4s, Relevé 1, and other tax-related forms.Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve payroll processing efficiency.
Stay current on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.Qualifications : Bilingual (English and French)HR experience is required as well5+ years of relevant experience in payroll managementStrong knowledge of payroll regulations and laws in Quebec and CanadaExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional organizational skills and attention to detailStrong interpersonal and communication skills
