Senior Video Producer & Editor

Role Summary

Sophos is looking for a creative, passionate, and skilled Senior Video Producer & Editor to join the Sophos Support video team (Techvids).

Your passion for engaging viewers through visual storytelling will make you a valuable member of this highly collaborative, cross-functional team.

This is a hands-on role that requires a creative strategic thinker who can jump in and make an immediateimpact. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that is highly organized and has an eye for producing captivating video content withina fast-paced environment.

The Sophos Support video team works to deflect technical support calls and cases by producing informative troubleshooting, setup and fundamental knowledge video content that provides our customers and partners with engaging guides that complement product documentation, community forums and interactive UI guides.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with various remote resources to develop and produce engaging video content
• Produce video content to meet brand and style guidelines
• Create visual assets to use within videos
• Upload, organize and maintain video assets in various platforms
• Manage and track video productions using project management software
• Transport, set up, and operate video production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for video shoots
• Direct and coach on-screen talent to facilitate video and audio recording
• Maintain studio and equipment as required
• Thorough understanding of Techvids visual identity and Sophos brand
• Ability to take projects through all phases of production with little guidance
• Take ownership of processes, templates and other documents and make required updates
• Drive continuous process improvement, procedures and templates through regular reviews to identify issues / opportunities and develop creative / practical / appropriate solutions
• Support and guide junior team members as required

What You Will Bring

• 4+ years of experience in video editing / production
• High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (and familiarity with rest of Adobe Creative Suite)
• Strong typography and motion graphics skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• High level of interpersonal and organizational skills, with excellent communication skills and ability to give / receive critical feedback
• Understanding of story in video production
• An understanding of and eye for quality and consistency
• Shows initiative and is a collaborative team player
• Experience working on branded content or in marketing
• Showreel or portfolio of work required

Desirable

• Experience in the Cybersecurity field (Network or Endpoint security)
• 2-4 years at a Marketing Agency or Video Production Company
• Experience in creating video for a variety of platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, learning management systems)
• Experience with captioning and transcription for video

In Canada, the base salary for this role ranges from $80,000 to $133,000. In addition to base salary, we offer additional compensation including bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.

A candidate’s specific pay within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, training, location, experience, relevant education, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
