THE ROLE

A great project focused business analyst type opportunity that will provide hands-on support and maintenance of the Business Intelligence functions in a high visibility position.

• 30% Dashboard Development
• 30% Data Governance
• 20% PowerBI Maintenance
• 20% Process Documentation

THE TASKS

Dashboard Development

May include, but not be limited to, the following tasks :

• Design and develop interactive dashboards using PowerBI or other visualization tools, ensuring user-friendly layouts and real-time data updates.
• Optimize dashboards for performance, ensuring quick load times and seamless user experience.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives, defining the key metrics and data points to be visualized on the dashboard.

Data Governance

May include, but not be limited to, the following tasks :

• Establish and maintain data governance policies, ensuring compliance with data handling regulations and safeguarding sensitive information.
• Define roles and responsibilities for data management, ensuring clear accountability and ownership of data assets.
• Monitor and enforce data quality standards, performing regular data audits and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

PowerBI Maintenance

May include, but not be limited to, the following tasks :

• Aggregate and clean data from various sources for use in dashboards and reporting.
• Monitor and enforce data quality standards, performing regular data audits to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Process Documentation

May include, but not be limited to, the following tasks :

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, process workflows, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements, implementing version control systems to track changes.

THE EXPECTATIONS TIMELINE PREVIEW

By Month 1

• Completed onboarding and gained familiarity with the team, key stakeholders and culture of the company.
• Demonstrated a basic level of proficiency with systems, and existing BI infrastructure.

By Month 3

• Taken full ownership of the Power BI reporting platform with full proficiency of the system.
• Provided recommendations, fixes, and enhancements as requested on the front end.

THE SKILL SET

• Prior Business Analyst or FP&A experience is an asset.
