BilingualAdministrative Assistant(Insurance)
Ourclient in the insurance industry is seeking two bilingualprofessionals to support their Affinity Markets division in ahybrid work environment. This is a contract position with thepossibility of extension or conversion to a fulltime role dependingon business needs. The successful candidates will be responsiblefor coordinating the new business and underwriting processes forvarious insurance products including Term Life Health and DentalDisability Personal Accident and Critical Illness while buildingand maintaining strong relationships with brokers advisors andclients.

Hourly salary of $18.00 to $23.36 based onexperience.
6month contract withthe potential for permanentemployment.
Fulltime position : 37.50 hours per week.
Overtimemay be required.
Weekday schedulefrom 9 am to 5 pm.
Hybrid work : 3office days from Tuesday toThursday.

Responsibilities :
Create and maintain strong working relationships with brokersadvisors and plan administrators serving as a reliable point ofcontact for new business and underwritinginquiries.
Conduct qualityreviews of underwriters completed files ensuring decisions aredocumented and processed according to internalguidelines.
Maintain proactivecommunication with customers to provide tailored serviceupdates.
Handle outbound calls orcorrespondence to follow up on outstanding requirements and resolvecomplex service inquiries.
Approve and implement accepted client offers that do not requirefurther underwriting.
Managepending business by reviewing regularly and ensuring timelyprocessing of requirements.
Manage vendor orders and inquiries for outstanding medicalrequirements.
Update MedicalInformation Bureau (MIB) reporting codes and run manual MIB reportsas needed.
Provide backup supportto other New Business staff asrequired.
Whatyou will need tosucceed :
Postsecondary graduate or equivalent businessexperience.
3 years of experiencein an administrative or customer service role preferably within theinsurance industry.
Intermediatelife insurance knowledge working toward achieving LOMA and / or ACSdesignations.
Bilingual inEnglish and French (spoken and written) to support clients in bothlanguages.
Proficient in usingMicrosoft Office Suite New Business Mainframe systems (NBUS CAPSILLH) and AWD Imaging system with proficient keyboardingskills.
Strong knowledge ofAffinity products and functions handled in New Business andUnderwriting as well as various distributionchannels.
Good understanding ofnew business and underwriting guidelines workflows andprocesses.
Strong attention todetail and ability to investigate unclear or incompleteinstructions and requests.
Effective organizational and prioritization skills able to handlehigh work volumes multiple priorities and shortdeadlines.
Strong written andverbal communication skills clear concise andcustomerfocused.
Ability tohandle escalating calls professionally and take ownership ofresolutions.
Good interpersonalskills positive attitude and sensitivity to confidential clientinformation.
Ability to makedecisions within published guidelines and know when to refer issuesto senior staff.
Confident inmanaging client interactions via phone and email includingtroubleshooting and addressing ongoing applicationrequirements.
