What is the opportunity?
Are you a strategic communicator who loves to tell stories, promote partnerships and build culture? Join the RBC Corporate Communications team and help us profile Tech@RBC’s people, teams, partnerships and achievements.
You’ll lead content strategy and development for two external websites and work closely with our tech ecosystem and partnerships teams to help position RBC as a global tech organization building the bank of the future.
What will you do?
- Manage content strategy and editorial workflow designed to drive traffic, build reputation and raise profile for two external websites
- Work with colleagues and business partners to identify storytelling opportunities designed to raise awareness of RBC’s expertise across multiple tech disciplines, including data & analytics, artificial intelligence, cyber security, tech infrastructure, digital and development
- Create content focused on our people and the Tech@RBC experience and culture to support technology recruiting and retention initiatives
- Write, edit and update compelling content for multiple channels from initial concept to publishing
- Work closely with our technology and innovation ecosystem and partnerships team to ensure a consistent the Tech@RBC brand presence and amplify storytelling efforts with government, academic and industry partnerships
- Collaborate with marketing and communications professionals across the organization to help tell our broader innovation story
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have :
- Undergraduate degree / post-graduate certificate or equivalent in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
- 7+ years of extensive experience providing strategic marketing and communications advice, content development and project management
- Experience working with internal marketing teams and external agencies on paid social and digital campaigns to drive traffic and measure success
- Experience navigating relationships between internal teams and external organizations in a large global company
- Successful track record planning and executing large projects with multiple stakeholders and time / budget requirements
Nice-to-have :
- Demonstrable understanding of technology topics and trends, specifically data, digital, cyber security and AI
- Experience and / or familiarity with financial services
- A strong understanding of emerging technology and its role in the future of the financial sector
